So, quick backstory is as follows: I was born in Munich and moved to a town outside Freising when I was 1. As my mother and father were already in love with greek cuisine they asked around for restaurants and eventually they found Irodion through a family friend and long time customer. Let's start with food, I personally can attest to the quality of the food in Irodion (having eaten there consistently from around 2013 to 2018. I have never had one bad meal, one long delay in food or one experience of food poisoning or low quality of food. The main thing I fell in love with was the Delphi platter, a meal consisting of a mountain of Gyros , 2 large skewers of Souvlaki and a medium size salad all for fair money. The supple taste of the gyros mixed with the grill flavours in the Souvlaki are unbeatable in my opinion. I have also tried many other foods, and can recommend anything that you think looks good (including the seafood!) Next I'll talk Service and Staff. Since going there before 2016 with my family the friendly staff have always been kind and lovely to everyone who entered, were very nice to me every time I asked questions or did kid things and finally always respectful to our wishes. The restaurant is also good for people who wish to eat a little later then the norm (like us). Now in 2016 and around those years my family went through a traumatic path with one of my parents being hospitalised and coming out wheelchair bound. The restaurant staff hadn't seen us for a while but one day me and my other parent went and ate there after a visit. We ordered and ate and loved it as usual, and when we left, the staff and us somehow got talking and we mentioned the previous. They were so understanding and offered to have three or four of their waiters carry my parent down the staircase which is located between outside and inside so he could dine during colder months. This kindness is universal. These people are saints and will always have my admiration and respect. Finally, I'll talk atmosphere. The authenticity and romance of the Restaurant can not be overshadowed. There is a lovely row of tables which I find are perfect for a intimate 1 on 1, and also an array of booths which are comfortable and seat large parties with reservations. The lighting and design in the cellar is amazing, with an inviting open plan and clever partitioning to allow certain spaces their privacy without blocking out parts of the restaurant. I say go here and try it, it could've changed but I doubt that highly! God bless Irodion and the staff!!
